Garden Day

Rudbeckia fulgida var. sullivantii "Goldsturm"

Our garden day started with a tip run. It's always interesting how all the council workers like to stand and watch women back trailers into poorly designed off load points. Now I'm pretty confident at trailer backing but even I am put off that they can't move themselves to let you know how close to the barrier you are - another woman driver did that for me.

Next we avoided a garden centre trip - never a good idea  going near those places with an empty trailer and bare root tree season in full swing. Home again and it's back to more potting up. Today I'm hoping to finish the Achillea "Pearl" and Rudbeckia "Goldstrum" - I am on a mission - so I even have a list of plants a want potted or propagated each day.
Wee Hermann is helping as only a one year old can - transfering the potting mix from the large tub I am potting from to the dogs water bowl. I think it marked time to go in for lunch and his sleep.

And yup - still stock photo's - I bought potting mix instead of a camera :)

  1. Lol...They're probably to focused looking for the slightest wrong move you make so they can broadcast to their buddies that (awful) stereotype, is true! - you know the one...He'll be sayin' and I've seen it with my own eye's...but, nice work ladies!!

and well...the flowers will be way prettier than a camera:)

  2. I am so impressed that you can back a trailer. Me? No chance!
The crocheted vest is basically a rectangle with two slits in it. Leonie (click on her link on my post) gives the adult dimentions in her post and if you want I can measure Indi's 9 year old size one up for you. I have no idea how old your kidlets are though. I highly recommend it though. I live in mine.
Hope you had a great weekend.
